Why are Spam Contacts syncing to HubSpot through integration?
The spam contacts are first created on the WooCommerce website through various forms like Registration form, Newsletter form etc. These forms create users as registered users on the website. The integration is designed to sync every registered user currently present in WooCommerce website to HubSpot as contacts. There is no functionality present in the integration to filter out spam users. That’s why the spam contacts are present on the HubSpot portal too.
To address this issue, we recommend implementing a CAPTCHA system, such as Google reCAPTCHA, on your WooCommerce registration form and other forms. This will help prevent spam users from being created on your WordPress site, which will, in turn, stop the syncing of spam contacts on HubSpot.
