The spam contacts are first created on the WooCommerce website through various forms like Registration form, Newsletter form etc. These forms create users as registered users on the website. The integration is designed to sync every registered user currently present in WooCommerce website to HubSpot as contacts. There is no functionality present in the integration to filter out spam users. That’s why the spam contacts are present on the HubSpot portal too.

To address this issue, we recommend implementing a CAPTCHA system, such as Google reCAPTCHA, on your WooCommerce registration form and other forms. This will help prevent spam users from being created on your WordPress site, which will, in turn, stop the syncing of spam contacts on HubSpot.

The integration uses Hubspot tracking script for tracking user data like page views on WooCommerce website. This script creates HTML forms with the <form> tag, present on the WooCommerce website as non-Hubspot forms on the Hubspot portal. You might see some non-Hubspot forms whose names are like “.checkout, .WooCommerce-checkout, .processing”. Please note our integration is not responsible for creating these forms on Hubspot, the integration uses Hubspot tracking script which allows us to create these non-Hubspot forms.

Abandoned carts occur when customers add products to their shopping cart but leave the site without completing the purchase. This indicates interest in the items, but the customer doesn’t follow through with the checkout process.

Our integration syncs abandoned cart data to HubSpot as contacts, but please note that it does not sync HubSpot deals. To sync an abandoned cart contact, the customer must provide their email address in the checkout form. Without the email address, the abandoned cart data will not sync.

The abandoned cart contact is synced with a group of properties called Abandoned Cart Details. The Current Abandoned Cart property helps determine if a contact has abandoned cart data; if it’s set to “Yes,” it indicates the contact has abandoned cart information. Additional properties, such as Abandoned Cart Products HTML and Abandoned Cart URL, can be used as personalization tokens in abandoned cart email templates. The integration also creates a HubSpot contact list named Abandoned Cart, which can be used in workflows or for checking abandoned cart data.

Please note that if a contact has existing abandoned cart data in HubSpot and later places an order on the WooCommerce website, the abandoned cart information will be cleared from their HubSpot contact’s abandoned cart related properties. Additionally, the Current Abandoned Cart property will also be updated to No.

The Checkout Abandoned deal stage is a standard deal stage within the Ecommerce Deal Pipeline, and it has no direct connection to the abandoned cart data. By default, the integration maps the Draft WooCommerce order status to the Checkout Abandoned Deal Stage.

There are multiple steps to check whether deals syncing:

Check whether the High Performance Order Storage (HPOS) feature is enabled on your WooCommerce website. To verify this, follow these steps:

In the WordPress admin panel, navigate to the WooCommerce section on the left-hand side and click on Settings.

Go to Advanced > Features.

Look for the Order data storage setting and see if it’s set to High-performance order storage. If it is, please note that the integration is not compatible with HPOS by default. To enable compatibility, you will need to purchase the integration’s HPOS add-on from this link (https://makewebbetter.com/product/hubspot-woocommerce-hpos-compatibility/). Please note that without the add-on, the integration will still sync products and registered users from your WooCommerce site to HubSpot, but not order-related data.

If the Order data storage setting is set to WordPress posts storage, you can continue with other steps to troubleshoot deal syncing, as the integration is already compatible with this setting.

Check whether the hubwoo_deals_sync_check & hubwoo_ecomm_deal_update scheduler is working or not. These schedulers are important for deal syncing. To check the schedulers working on your website, please check this link(https://support.makewebbetter.com/hubspot-integrations/real-time-sync-working/) which has instructions for this. If these schedulers are not working, then we suggest you deactivate & reactivate the integration plugin on your WooCommerce website.

Check the API Logs generated by integration while syncing. For this, navigate to our integration dashboard and open Logs Tab. You can check logs for contact syncing by typing “deals” term on the search bar, or by checking logs manually where the “Object” column has “deals” term. If the API logs run with status code like 400, 404 etc, then we suggest you contact our support team for debugging the issue through code.

Please make sure that the mapping of deal stages along with WooCommerce order status should be properly saved in our integration settings as shown in the screenshot below. If there is any deal state created on the HubSpot end, and that new deal stage is not properly in the integration settings, then the deal syncing might face some issues.

When our integration activates on the WooCommerce website, all the orders which are created after activating the integration are treated as Real time Orders and orders which were placed before activating our integration, then those orders will be treated as Historical Orders. The Historical orders will not sync automatically and you need to run deals syncing manually using Sync Historical Orders as Deals functionality in our integration as shown in the screenshot below.

When a product is created or updated, the integration first checks whether the product already exists on HubSpot, using either the SKU or Product ID. If the product is found, it will be updated; if not, a new product will be created.

It’s important to note that HubSpot does not allow products with duplicate SKUs. Therefore, every product on the WooCommerce website must have a unique SKU to ensure proper syncing with HubSpot.

Additionally, the integration allows for syncing of both simple and variable products to HubSpot. Each product will sync as an individual item in HubSpot. In the case of variable products, every variation is treated as a separate product and synced individually, meaning that each variation must also have a unique SKU to prevent syncing issues.
